Card payments into your own Stripe account, recorded against the order they pay.

A customer accepts a quote online and pays the deposit in the same sitting. A dealer pays a balance from a link in an email. The money goes straight to your Stripe account, and Extrusia records it against the quote, order or invoice it was for, with no one re-keying a receipt.

Where a customer can pay

When they accept a quote

The online acceptance page asks for the deposit your terms require, and a quote that is paid becomes an order without anyone pressing a button.

From a payment link

Email a link for an order or for one invoice's balance. The link does not expire after a day: opening it later starts a fresh checkout, after first checking whether the last one was already paid.

On a quote before it is ordered

A prepayment taken on a quote is carried onto the order when the order is placed, so it is counted once.

Your account, your money

  • Your Stripe account. A super administrator connects the company's own Stripe account. Payments land there; Extrusia is not in the money's path and takes no cut of it.
  • Refunds recorded by themselves. Refund a payment in Stripe and Extrusia records the money going back against the deposit, payment or invoice it came from, and reopens the invoice where it should. The original payment is never edited, so the record shows both.
  • Each event checked. Stripe tells your workspace about each payment at its own address, signed with your own secret, and a payment Stripe reports twice is recorded once.
  • Other ways to pay still count. Checks, ACH and other card processors are recorded against the same orders and invoices, so a balance is the same number whichever way it was paid.

Note: Stripe is a trademark of Stripe, Inc. Extrusia is not affiliated with or endorsed by Stripe; the name describes the service Extrusia exchanges data with.

Stripe payments — common questions

Do we need our own Stripe account?

Yes. Card payments go to your company's own Stripe account and appear in your own Stripe dashboard. Stripe's processing fees are between you and Stripe.

Does Extrusia charge a fee on card payments?

No. Extrusia takes nothing from your payments.

What happens when we refund a customer?

Refund it in Stripe as usual. Extrusia hears about the refund and records the money going back against the order or invoice, so the balance owed is right without anyone touching it.
